After sharing my book cover, my tutor pointed out that the design wasn’t suitable for the story. While the book was intended for adults, the cover gave off a children’s book vibe. So, I realised the importance of considering the mood and genre of the story when creating a book cover design. And I learned that I needed to understand the target readers better through the story as I planned to create the design.
